The Williams family have lived in Whittington for over 30 years and have strong family roots in the area.
Catering started in the family over 80 years ago, when Bens grand father. who was renown for his cake making and confectionery skills.
He was head chef and tutor of many in the Derwen training collage for over 35 years.
The tradition carries on
Ben Williams - HEAD CHEF
Ben started his career as an apprentice Chef at The White Lion after leaving school at 15. After qualifying he worked in several hotels and restaurants, rising to Head chef and kitchen manager.
After meeting his partner, he returned home and entered discussions in taking over The White Lion.
Ben was educated in the Whittington primary school and further education in Ellesmere Lakeland school.
Bryan Williams. - GENERAL MANAGER
Bryan is a retired engineering technician who worked in the dairy industry for over 32 years and took early retirement to assist Ben in the running of the White Lion
